Perhaps Cape Town isn't just one of the world's most beautiful places for humans. Perhaps it's equally magical below the surface of the ocean too. Why else would thousands of Southern Right and Humpback Whales migrate to our shores each year to perform for the adoring crowds? Travel to Hermanus by helicopter, and watch them spy hop, tail slap, lobtail and fluke like few others have. From the air you won't have to deal with traffic or crowds either, so you can properly appreciate the peace and beauty of these magnificent huge creatures. Please note: Whale season is from June to November.
